 It has been observed to be the best liver protector. Milk thistle is rich in Silymarin compounds which are rich in antioxidants and has been shown to reduce the damaged liver cells caused by cirrhosis.

For adults, the dosage is two to three capsules daily with food. It is better if the capsules are split with food; one capsule with one meal. For children between six to twelve years of age, the dose is one capsule daily with food.

Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)

 Researches show that green tea has some unique benefits among which, one is that it acts as prevention for liver cirrhosis. Green tea contains large quantities of Vitamin K.

The classic turmeric is an excellent cure for liver cirrhosis. Turmeric contains a chemical called curcumin which shields the liver tissues against toxic damage and prevents liver scarring and hence acts as an efficient herb to protect you against liver cirrhosis.

Fig is considered to be a great natural remedy to prevent liver cirrhosis. Liver cirrhosis is also caused by the deficiency of antitrypsin. In its absence, neutrophil elastase is free to breakdown elastin which results in cirrhosis in adults or children. Thus to prevent cirrhosis, sufficient level of antitrypsin is essential.

Fig is rich in antitrypsin and thus can be effectively used to prevent cirrhosis. Rinse four leaves of fig and crush them with some sugar candy. Add 250ml of water to this mixture and consume this mixture twice daily to get the best results.
