Vitamin C

A daily dose of 100mg vitamin C is recommended for the body to fight off flu because vitamin C is known to provide a great boost to the immune system that exists within the body. It is very widely known as a natural treatment for flu and cold and a good dose of this vitamin is said to bring about a great reduction in the life span of flu within the body of the affected person. 

Vitamin C is also known to be a very powerful antioxidant that helps the body in fighting off various infections. Citrus fruits are said to contain vitamin C and therefore people suffering from flu can take fruits such as oranges and lemons.

Vitamin A

A daily dose of 5000iu of vitamin a is said to be very healthy for the body and it also helps in preventing diseases of all kinds. The good dose of vitamin A should be included in the daily diet in order to fight flu and this can be done by the intake of foods such as spinach, capsicum and carrots.

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 is also a healthy vitamin for the body because it increases the levels of blood within the body and helps in fighting off the viruses that cause flu. Besides doing this, vitamin D3 is also known to act as a good cure for depression that occurs because of the lack of sun exposure.

A person suffering from low levels of vitamin D3 should have a blood test and then try to take supplements of vitamin D3 that would require at least four to five months in getting the exact levels of this vitamin into the blood.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E helps in building up an environment in the body that works in the sphere of healing the body of flu by destroying the cold cells and the cells and viruses that causes flu.

It works as a valuable defense against flu and is widely found in seeds, vegetables and nuts.

Vitamin B

Vitamin B is also said to work best in fighting flu because of the fact that it contains certain properties and energy boosting products that help the body in getting rid of flu. This is one vitamin that is not very popular in the group of the vitamins to fight flu.
